It’s about loyalty
It’s about loyalty
A take on this kneeling issue that has seeped over the country:
It is not about the 1st Amendment and the right to free speech. It is about one’s loyalty to the flag and our country and without one you do not have the other.

Thanks to brave volunteers
Like so many others, I’ve been worried about the people in Puerto Rico and other places that have been hit hard by recent storms. Puerto Rico is especially dear to me because I spent a lot of time there many years ago when the company I co-founded, Medtronic, opened two plants there. My wife and I paid many visits there and so enjoyed the island, the culture, and mostly the people. We fell in love with them. Their quality of work and dedication to the fine details were exemplary — something we noticed right away. We thought Puerto Rico might be where we’d like to retire. Then we found Hawaii Island and loved it even more. The rest is history, as they say.
I’m writing to specifically thank the 50 volunteers from Hawaii, 15 of them from Hawaii Island, who have gone to Puerto Rico to help out. We are starting to understand how bad it is there, and they need any and all help we can offer. I wish I could do more, but I do what I can at age 93 and I hope everyone else will do whatever they can, too. Volunteers like these good people are so important to our world. They are living on and giving on — what I try to encourage everyone to do every day.

Worst person ever in Oval Office
To all those who are still on the Trump train: It’s not about the flag, the anthem or our service members. It is about Trump trying his level best to divide our country. He praises white supremacists, neo-Nazis and the KKK, but lashes out at a rally speech knocking the NFL.
Most of the football players and all of the owners have the utmost respect for our country, the flag, our men and women in the service and our national anthem. They are protesting police brutality against people of color, racism and bigotry, which Trump exhibits on a daily basis. I find it hard to believe that there are so many ignorant people in the United States who still support a bigot, misogynist and bully, who brags about grabbing women, mocks disabled people and gold star families and is an all around mean-spirited narcissist.
Please wake up to the fact that Trump is the worst person to have held the highest position in our nation. Very sad.
